Aircycle Corp.USA are manufacturers of world famous Lamp Crushers / Compactors, known as "Bulb Eater".Bulb Eaters are very widely used globally for crushing mercury containing Lamps at sight or in a movable vehicle and crushed lamps are then transported to mother plant ( HUB-Crushing & Separation and Mercury distillation ) or to TSDF facility, thereby saving lot of space, handling, cost of packing and transportation cost.
"Bulb Eater" is mounted on a 55 Gallon Open Top Drum and each drum can accommodate about 3000 Nos. CFL or 1350 Nos. T8 Tube Lights or about 875 Nos. T12 Tube Lights.
"Bulb Eater" is OSHA compliant ( Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, created by United States department of labor) having 3 stage filters ( Bag Filter, HEPA Filter and Activated Carbon Filter) to capture and neutralize virtually all of the Mercury Vapors released during controlled crushing of lamps.
Bulb eaters are equipped with lot of safety features, such as indicators for Open Drum / Lid off, Full drum, cycle timer etc. so that there is absolutely no leakage of Mercury Vapors during or after crushing of lamps.
When the Drum gets full, Bulb Eater can very conveniently be mounted on another drum and the filled Drum is to be sealed with a cover to avoid any leakage of Mercury vapor or spillage of crushed lamps, during transportation of filled Drums.
